Ethics, Culture, and Social and Professional Relations

In this course, students will understand the roots of Brazilian morality, analyzing the interaction between Indigenous heritage, European colonization, and African influence, and how this shapes the corporate environment, including phenomena such as the "Brazilian way" (jeitinho brasileiro) and the need to separate ethical decisions from patrimonialist practices.

The course addresses human rights, diversity, and organizational citizenship, highlighting that human dignity is an unbreakable ethical limit. The relational dimension of everyday ethics and the leader's pedagogical role will be explored — leading by example, building trust, and managing conflicts fairly and constructively, fostering a democratic and productive environment. Finally, students will study professional ethics and social responsibility, understanding how integrity, technical competence, and commitment to environmental and social impacts form a sustainable competitive advantage.

The concepts of Corporate Governance and Compliance will be introduced, showing how ethics protects the company's reputation and attracts talent and investment guided by ESG criteria.
